DSW Migration

The DSW Migration option allows users to migrate Data Science Workflows, Script, and model.

The users can migrate multiple Workflows, scripts, and models to multiple users. However, the description is given below to migrate one Data Science workflow to another user.

  • Click the ‘DSW Migration’ option from the Migration drop-down.

  • Click the ‘Export’ option from the next screen.

  • The Export Section for DSW Migration opens.

  • Select a Data Science Workspace to display the list of Workflows (By selecting the ‘All’ option workflows from all the Data Science workspaces get displayed).

  • Select the Workflow(s), Script(s), or Model(s) using the respective lists (If the selected workflow contains script and model components, then those components get selected by default)

  • Click the ‘Export’ option after selecting the desired workflows, scripts, and models.

Note: The following example displays that by selecting a Workflow from the list the related script gets selected by default.

  • The ‘Save As’ window opens.

  • Provide the file name.

  • Click the ‘Ok’ option.

  • A notification message appears to inform the user that the file has been successfully downloaded to the SFTP server.

  • Sign into the destination user account.

  • Click the ‘Import’ option using the DSW Migration admin option.

  • Search for the created BAF file.

  • Select it by using the checkmark in the box.

  • Click the ‘Next’ option.

  • The Data Connector Configuration page opens (only for the Workflows created using RDBMS-MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle data source).

  • Configure the Data Connector details.

  • Click the ‘Test’ option.

  • A success message appears, and the user gets informed that the configuration is done.

  • Click the ‘Next’ option after configuring the Data Connector details (The ‘Next’ option gets enabled after getting the success message).

  • The user gets redirected to select a destination user. Select a user(s) by putting the checkmarks from the displayed list.

  • Click the ‘Next’ option to proceed.

  • Select an option out of Overwrite and Replicate to treat the duplicate content (if in case it happens to be duplicate).

  • Click the ‘Import’ option.

  • A confirmation message appears.

  • A message appears to inform the user about the successful migration of the selected workflow.

  • Open the DS workspace to check the migrated Workflow and Script in the respective sections.
