# Design Philosophy

The Data Science Lab module acts as the innovation lab, using which data engineers and data scientists can conduct data engineering and modeling experiments, before productionizing the component using the [**Data Pipeline Module**](/bdb-documentation/data-pipeline.md#what-is-a-data-pipeline)**.**
