# Accessing the Story Module

3 ways to access the Story module under the Platform.
This section covers how to access the ***Story*** plugin using the BDB Platform.
* Navigate to the homepage of the platform.
* Click the ***Apps*** menu icon.
* Click the ***Story*** module.
OR
* Navigate to the Platform homepage.
* Right-click anywhere on the ***My Documents*** or ***Public Documents*** blank space to get the context menu.
* Click the ***Create New Story*** option form the context menu.
OR
* Navigate to the Platform homepage.
* Click the ***Options*** icon to open the context menu from the Platform Homepage.
* Select the ***Create New Story*** option from the context menu.
Two ways to access the Create New Story option.
* The ***Create New Story*** window opens.
* Enter a title for the Story document.
* Describe the Story document (optional).
* It also prompts to select a Data Store from the displayed list.
* Select an option from the drop-down menu.
* ***All***- It lists all the Data Stores
* ***Personalized***- It lists all the Data Stores with an option to create/refresh instance.
* ***Scheduler***-It lists all the Data Stores for which the instance creation is taken care while creating the Data Stores (In the given example, the selected Data Store belongs to Scheduler category).
* Click the ***Save*** option.
Providing required information and selecting a Data Store to Create a new Story
* The story document gets created (E.g., the ***Sample Story*** document has been created under the ***My Documents)***.
* The ***Design*** page opens by default.

* *The user can search for a specific Data Store by using the **Search** bar.*
* *Navigate back to the space where the story document creation was intended (i.e., In this case, Navigate to the **My Documents** space).*
* *You can see the newly created Story document added to the **My Documents** space.*
