Password
The Password Settings option allows administrators to enforce strong password policies to protect user accounts from unauthorized access. Using this option, administrators can configure password rules, expiry policies, and account lockout thresholds.
Access Password Settings
From the Admin Panel, click Password under the Configuration and Settings list.
The Password Settings page opens.
Configure Password Policies
On the Password Settings page, provide the following details:
Password Expiry (Days): Define password validity in days.
Password Strength: Specify the password length (between 6 and 16 characters).
Password Reuse: Restrict users from reusing old passwords (e.g., prevent reuse of the last 3 passwords).
Login Failures: Set the number of incorrect login attempts allowed (maximum 3).
After 3 failed attempts, the account is automatically blocked.
After entering the information:
Click Save to save the password settings.
Click Clear All to erase the configured details.
Notes
If a user fails to enter the correct password 3 times, the administrator can block the user account.
A user can sign in again only after the administrator enables the account.
Passwords must follow a strong pattern: a combination of letters, numbers, and at least one special character (e.g.,
Admin1@
).
