Data Lake Settings

The Data Lake Settings option allows administrators to configure connectivity to data lake environments. Depending on the setup, you can configure either a Same Server or Different Server option to store and access data.

Access Data Lake Settings

1. From the Admin Panel, click Data Lake Settings under the Configurations list.

   • The Data Lake Settings form opens.

Configure Data Lake with Same Server

Use this option when both Hadoop and Hive are hosted on the same server.

1. In the Data Lake Settings form, select Same Server.

2. Provide the following details:

   • Username

   • Password

   • Host

   • Port address

   • HDFS Port number (required only if the selected server is Hadoop)

3. Click Save to save the entered Data Lake Settings.

   • A notification message confirms that the configuration has been registered.

Configure Data Lake with Different Server

Use this option when Hadoop and Hive are hosted on separate servers.

1. In the Data Lake Settings form, select Different Server.

2. Provide the following details:

   • Username

   • Password

   • Host

   • Port address

   • HDFS Port number (required for Hadoop)

   • Parent Folder and Child Folders

   • Database Name

3. Click Save to save the entered Data Lake Settings.

   • A notification message confirms that the configuration has been registered.
