# Refresh Synonyms

The Refresh Synonyms option helps to refresh metadata tables to reflect the later changes in the metadata.

* Navigate to the Data Store Metadata list.
* Select a Metadata Store from the list.
* Click the ***Refresh Synonyms*** icon.

* A confirmation message appears to inform the users that the Synonyms are updated.

*<mark style="color:green;">Please Note</mark>: While using the **Refresh Synonyms** option, all the previously added Synonyms get cleared. The user needs to use the **Add Synonyms** option **to insert synonyms in the same Metadata Store.***
