In the BDB Platform, we have a specific method to manage the workflows. The Admin decides which use has what kind of access. In case a Dashboard Developer can develop only dashboards then Admin can publish it to the users that have access to this dashboard.
This can be partly done via Templates. Some templates can help you build dashboards faster (the 8.0 version will have this). Also in the dashboards, there are multiple charts visualization possible (for some visuals) and user can select what kind of visualization they want to choose. In the case of Self-Service, the charts of one Story can be used in the other one.
