Hardware Sizing Requirements

• Requirement: Describe hardware sizing requirements necessary to implement the proposed solution. Please include the details around of the hardware components and the recommended minimum configuration (processors, speed, memory, storage, operating system etc.) for each data platform component (ingestion, processing, storage (data lake, Datawarehouse, search, data visualization).

• BDB Response: BDB Platform & MongoDB (Data Lake) minimum hardware requirements –

• K8bernetes Master- 4 core 8GB, 200GB SSD.

• Platform + visualization- 4 core,32GB, 200GB SSD.

• Repo Database - 2 core, 8GB, 100GB SSD.

• Data lake (mongo dB)-16 core, 64GB, 1TB SSD.

• Plugins-

  • Self-service Reports - 4 core 32GB, 200GB (storage not included).

  • Pipeline - 16 core, 64GB, 500GB SSD.

  • Ingestion - 4 core, 16GB

• Requirement: Describe the typical hardware architecture & configuration (servers’ configuration, storage, bandwidth etc.)

• BDB Response: Kubernetes (V 1.21) Cluster with worker nodes (total poo size 32 core 128 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD is recommended for BDB platform with all plugins. Minimum Internal network speed 1 GBPS is recommended.

• Requirement: Provide hardware requirements for the development and UAT – QA environments.

• BDB Response: Kubernetes (V 1.21) Cluster with worker nodes (total poo size 24 core 96 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD is recommended for BDB Platform with all plugins. Minimum Internal network speed1 GBPS is recommended.
