A Sankey chart is a type of flow diagram used to visualize the magnitude of a flow from one set of values to another. The width of the arrows or lines in the chart is proportional to the flow quantity. It is particularly useful for showing how a single input breaks down into multiple outputs or how a series of transformations leads to a final state, making it ideal for visualizing energy, material, or financial flows.
