Managing Collectors

This section describes the options provided to Survey Collectors after creation.

Editing Collectors

The Edit Collector feature allows users to modify the settings of existing survey collectors, including collector name, messages, and advanced end-user options. These settings apply to both Weblink and Email collectors.

Steps to Edit a Collector

  1. Navigate to the Publish Your Survey list.

  2. Click the Edit icon for the desired survey collector.

  3. The Edit Collector pane opens on the right side of the screen.

    1. Editable Fields:

      1. Collector Name: Modify the name of the collector.

      2. Close Collector Message: Update the message displayed when the collector is closed.

      3. Collector Settings: Edit advanced options for end-user experience.

  4. Click Edit at the bottom of the pane to save changes.

Editing BizViz Analytics for End User

Steps

  1. In the Edit Collector screen, select BizViz Analytics for End User by checking the box.

  2. Configure the following options:

Option
Description

Public Link Status

ACTIVE: Enables the public link (URL displayed below). IN-ACTIVE: Disables the public link.

Display Result Option

Yes: Displays survey results to the end-user even if the collector is closed. No: Hides results from the end-user.

Display Filter Option

Yes: Displays applied filters to the end-user. No: Hides filters from the end-user.


Editing Benchmark Analysis for End User

Steps

  1. Select Benchmark Analysis for End User by checking the box.

  2. Configure the same options as for BizViz Analytics:

Option
Description

Public Link Status

ACTIVE: Enables the public link. IN-ACTIVE: Disables the public link.

Display Result Option

Yes/No: Controls whether results are shown to end-users.

Display Filter Option

Yes/No: Controls whether applied filters are visible to end-users.

Notes:

  • The Public URL link is displayed when the ACTIVE option is selected.

  • These steps apply to both Weblink and Email collectors.

  • Editing collector settings allows administrators to control accessibility, result visibility, and filter display for end-users.

Deleting Survey Collectors

Users can delete existing survey collectors to remove obsolete or unnecessary collectors. This applies to both Weblink and Email collectors.

Steps to Delete a Collector

  1. Navigate to the Publish Your Survey list.

  2. Click the Delete icon next to the desired collector.

  3. A confirmation pop-up appears.

  4. Click OK to confirm deletion.

Notes:

  • The same steps apply to both Weblink and Email collectors.

  • Deleting a collector will disable its link or email distribution, and any associated responses may no longer be accessible through that collector.
