Edit

The Edit functionality allows users to make changes to an existing saved View within a Report. This is useful for updating properties such as dimensions, measures, sorting, or labels without creating a new View from scratch.

Steps to Edit a Saved View

  1. Navigate to the Report that contains the saved View.

  2. Select the desired View.

  3. Click the Options (⋮) icon.

  4. From the context menu, select Edit.

  5. The Design page opens for the selected View.

  6. Modify the required details.

    • Example: Change the Dimension name or update Order By properties.

  7. Click the Save icon to apply changes.

  8. A notification confirms that the modified View has been saved successfully.

  9. The updated View is displayed on the Storyboard.

Notes:

  • Editing a View modifies it in place; the original View is updated in the Report.

  • Use Edit for minor changes. For a new variation, consider using Save As (if supported) to preserve the original View.

  • Changes are reflected across the Report and are available immediately to all users with access.
