Search

The NLP (Natural Language Processing) Search feature enables users to search for specific data queries across the selected Data Store using plain language. It instantly returns results as a default chart-based View, which can be saved, modified, and added to a Report.

This feature allows business users to:

  • Query data naturally (e.g., city by tax amount).

  • Create and save Views directly from the search results.

  • Drill into data with progressively detailed queries.

  • Switch visualizations and explore suggested results for deeper analysis.

    • Click the Search icon.

    • The Data Search page opens.

  2. Enter a Query

    • Type a query in the search bar (e.g., city by tax amount).

    • You may also select a query from search suggestions.

    • Click the Apply () icon.

  3. View Results

  4. Save to Report

    • Click the Add to Story icon.

    • A notification confirms the action.

    • The selected View is added to the final Report screen.

Users can refine queries to drill deeper into the Data Store.

Examples:

  • Query 1: city by taxamt → Displays the sum of tax amount by city.

  • Query 2: city by taxamt and discount → Displays the sum of the tax amount and discount by city.

  • Query 3: city by taxamt, discount, and basiccost → Displays the sum of tax amount, discount, and basic cost by city.
