Export Properties

The Export Properties option allows you to add a header and footer to a story when exporting it as a PDF.

The Export Properties option allows users to configure headers and footers when exporting a Report to PDF. This ensures reports include consistent branding, titles, or page numbers for professional presentation.

Steps to Configure Export Properties

  1. Open Export Properties

    • Navigate to the final screen of a Report.

    • Click the Export Properties icon.

    • The Export Properties window opens.

  2. Set PDF Header Properties

    • Header Text – Provide the header text to display at the top of each page.

    • Header Font Size – Choose the font size for the header text.

    • Header Alignment – Select alignment (Left, Right, or Center).

  3. Set PDF Footer Properties

    • Page Number – Enable the checkbox to display page numbers.

    • Footer Font Size – Choose the font size for the footer text.

    • Footer Alignment – Select alignment (Left, Right, or Center).

  4. Select Grid Option

    • Choose how the report content should be exported:

      • Screenshot – Captures the chart as an image.

      • Tabular – Exports chart data in table format.

  5. Apply Changes

    • Click the Apply icon.

    • The configuration is saved for the PDF export.

Exporting to PDF

  1. Click the Export icon.

  2. Select PDF from the export options.

  3. Open the exported PDF.

  4. The configured Header, Footer, and Page Numbers will appear in the document.

    • If Tabular mode is selected, the header and page numbers will also appear in the exported tabular format.

Notes:

  • Headers and footers improve the professional look and readability of exported reports.

  • Page numbers help track multi-page exports, especially for large reports.

  • The Screenshot option preserves chart visuals, while the Tabular option is better for sharing underlying data.
