Measure-based View Filter

This page explains steps for View Filter based on the Measures.

A Measure-based View Filter allows users to refine chart data by applying conditions directly to measure values. This enables precise filtering of numerical data (e.g., sales, profit, quantity) and provides a more targeted view for analysis.

Steps to Apply a Measure-based View Filter

  1. Navigate to the Design page.

  2. Click the View Filter option.

  3. The Filter panel opens.

  4. Use the Search bar to locate a measure.

  5. Select a Measure from the list of available Dimensions and Measures.

  6. Choose a Filter condition (rule) from the drop-down menu.

  7. Provide the required values for the selected condition.

    • Example: If Is Between is selected, enter both From and To values.

  8. Click the Apply icon.

The View is updated to reflect the applied filter condition.

Supported Filter Conditions

  • Is Between – Includes values within a specified range.

  • Is Less Than – Includes values less than the given number.

  • Is Less Than or Equal To – Includes values less than or equal to the given number.

  • Is Greater Than – Includes values greater than the given number.

  • Is Greater Than or Equal To – Includes values greater than or equal to the given number.

  • Is – Includes only values that match the specified number.

Notes:

  • The same steps can be followed to apply a Global Filter based on measure values.

  • Measure filters are useful for creating threshold-based dashboards (e.g., sales > $1M, profit between $100K and $250K).

  • Always click Apply to ensure the filter takes effect.

  • Always save the updated View after applying filters to retain changes in the Report.

  • When a Global Filter is applied to a Report, the View-specific filter becomes ineffective.
