AD Configuration
The AD Configuration option allows administrators to integrate the platform with a Windows Active Directory (AD) server. This enables centralized authentication and user management.
Access AD Configuration
From the Admin panel, click Authentication.
The following authentication options appear:
AD Configuration
CA PPM Configuration
AWS Cognito Configuration
Select AD Configuration.
The Active Directory Settings page opens.
The Configuration tab is displayed by default.
Step 1: Configure AD Connection
Provide the following details:
Server Protocol
IP Address/Host of the Windows AD server
Port number for Windows AD
Username of the Windows AD service account
Password (secured)
Domain Name
Click Next.
A confirmation message appears, and the system navigates to the Parameters tab.
Step 2: Define User Parameters
In the Parameters tab, configure user details:
Provide First Name.
Provide Last Name.
Add a Description (optional).
Open the Custom Fields drop-down menu and select from available options.
Enter the Active Directory Property.
To add more fields, click the Add Row icon.
Click Next.
A success message confirms the action.
The system navigates to the Sync Configuration tab.
Step 3: Sync Users and Groups
In the Sync Configuration tab:
Select a User Group from the AD Group List.
Select users from the AD User List by checking the boxes next to their names.
Click Next.
A success message confirms that the user list has been updated.
The system navigates to the Group Configuration tab.
Step 4: Configure Groups
In the Group Configuration tab:
Review the selected AD User List.
Select any User Group from the AD Group List.
Click Save.
A success message confirms that the user group has been updated successfully.
Note
When you open the Security module for the selected AD user, the configured group appears in the Add Users to Group list.
