# Conditional Color for Categories

Conditional color formatting is supported inside the Story module. This feature helps users to define conditional rules based on specific criteria or thresholds and apply different colors to visualize variations or anomalies in their targeted data.&#x20;

Users can apply the multiple conditions to the measure&#x20;

* Select a View plotted with Categorical Column(Dimension Column) & one or multiple Measures.

* &#x20;Click on the ellipsis icon one of the Measure Column.
* Details for the selected Measure value gets displayed on the right-side of the page.&#x20;
* The user can also modify the following aspects for the selected Measure.
  * Aggregation&#x20;
  * Display Name
  * Color
  * Data Label Color
  * Data Label Position

* All the modified fields will reflect in the current View.
* Click the ***New Condition*** icon.

* Select a Measure column using the ***Compared Field.** The default name of the Measure will be displayed in this field.*
* Select an Operator (the supported operations are <, <=, >, >=, ==, !=).
* Provide the required value to apply rule using the **Compared To** field.
* Select the required color using the color pallet.
* ***Save*** the condition and the related color.

* The provided color will be applied to the values based on the given condition.
