# Customized Category Color

This feature allows users to customize dimension color.

We have introduced support for category color in our self-service visualizations. This enhancement enables users to assign specific colors to different categories within their data, facilitating easier identification and differentiation of data points or groups while designing a View.

* Select a Chart plotted with Categorical column(Dimension Column) & Measure column.

* Click on the ellipsis icon of the dragged Categorical Column.
* The **Actions** tab opens on the right-side of the page.
* Users can provide ***Display name***.
* Click the ***New Category Color*** icon.

* Select the Category Name from the list.
* Choose a color from the color pallet.
* ***Save*** the selected color.

* The provided color for the selected value will be reflected in the chart.

* Different colors can be selected and saved for multiple categories values available for one category in the View.

* *For a single category column, multiple conditions can be provided.*
* *Category Color has high priority compared to Conditional & Slicer color properties. If **user tries to apply both category & conditional color** then the color will be applied based on the **category condition**.*
