Create a New Report with an Existing Data Store

Learn how to create a report by selecting from previously created or shared data stores. This option is recommended when the dataset has already been prepared and validated.

Steps to Create a Report

  1. Navigate to the Create Report page:

    • Open the Report module, or

    • Use the Create New Report option from the homepage.

  2. Provide report details:

    • Report Name – Enter a unique name.

    • Description – Add an optional description for context.

  3. Select Existing Data Store as the data source option.

  4. From the Select Data Store list:

    • Review the available data stores.

    • Select a data store using the checkbox next to its name.

  5. Click Create Report.

  6. You are redirected to the Designing Canvas to begin creating a View.

Designing the Report View

  • The Designing Canvas offers a wide variety of charts, including KPIs and Data Grids, for designing data visualizations.

  • Use the Switch UI icon to toggle between different design interfaces depending on preference.

Notes:

  • Reports created with existing data stores inherit all schema, transformations, and access permissions defined for that data store.

  • If no suitable data store is available, consider creating one using a CSV/Excel upload or a Data Sandbox workflow.
