Accessing the Report Module

Learn all the ways to open the Report module and launch the Create New Report flow from the BDB Platform homepage.

The Report module can be accessed via multiple entry points on the platform. You can also invoke Create New Report directly from the homepage context menus.

Access the Report Module

From the Left-Side Panel

  1. Navigate to the Platform homepage.

  2. In the left navigation, click the Report module icon.

    • The Report module opens.

From the Apps Menu

  1. Navigate to the Platform homepage.

  2. Click the Apps menu icon.

  3. Click Report to open the module.

Access the “Create New Report” Option

You can start the Create New Report flow directly from the homepage using either of the following context menus.

Option A: Context Menu in Documents Area

  1. On the Platform homepage, go to My Documents or Public Documents.

  2. Right-click on the blank space within the selected area.

  3. Click Create New Report from the context menu.

Option B: Homepage Options Menu

  1. Click the Create+ option from the All Files display of the homepage documents. (homepage context menu).

  2. Select Create New Report from the context menu.

Note: All the above-mentioned ways will help the user to launch the same Create New Report workflow.

Search and Document Placement

  • Search Data Store: Use the Search bar (where available) to locate a specific Data Store before creating the report.

  • Choose Target Space: Navigate to the intended space (e.g., My Documents) prior to creation to store the new report in the correct location.

  • Verify Creation: After completing the Create New Report flow, the new report document appears in the chosen space (e.g., My Documents).

Next Steps

  • Create a New Report: Choose an existing Data Store or upload CSV/Excel as the data source, then build one or more Views and save them into the report.

  • Manage Reports: Open saved reports to add, edit, or remove Views, apply filters, and export results.

Notes:

  • Access paths and menu labels may vary slightly depending on user permissions and tenant configuration.

  • If you don’t see the Report icon or Create New Report option, contact your platform administrator to verify access.
