Save Multiple Views

Add and save multiple Views to build a comprehensive Report.

Prerequisites

  • The report is created, and you are on the Design page/Design canvas.

  • For file-based reports (CSV/Excel), ensure the Data Store has finished loading.

Steps to Save Multiple Views

  1. Open the Design page

    • After creating the report, you are redirected to the Design page/Design canvas.

  2. Create the first View

    • New UI: Use the Search bar to select Dimensions and Measures, then click GO (default chart: Mixed).

    • Old UI: Drag and drop (or double-click) Dimensions/Measures into the suggested areas (default chart: Grid).

  3. Save the View

    • Click Save View.

    • Wait for the confirmation message.

    • The saved View appears on the final screen of the report.

  4. Create an additional View

    • Adjust the field selections (add/remove Dimensions/Measures) or pick a different data slice.

    • (Optional) Change the chart type from the Chart tab.

    • Click GO (New UI) or place fields (Old UI) to generate the View.

  5. Save the additional View

    • Click Save View and confirm the prompt.

    • Verify the second View appears alongside the first on the report screen.

  6. Repeat to add more Views

    • Repeat steps 4–5 for each additional insight (e.g., KPIs, trend lines, category breakdowns).

  7. (Optional) Customize each View

    • From Chart Properties, configure labels, axes, legends, sorting, formatting, and interactions as needed.

  8. Review the final report screen

    • Ensure all saved Views are visible and reflect the intended Dimensions/Measures and chart types.

Notes & Tips:

  • You can switch between New UI and Old UI at any time using Switch UI; saved Views remain intact.

  • Use consistent naming in View titles/subtitles so business users can quickly interpret the page.

  • Prefer a mix of summary KPIs and drillable visuals to provide both overview and detail.

  • If a file-based report shows no visuals yet, wait until the Data Store finishes loading, then create/save Views.
