Question Properties

All the details-related to the question properties are covered under this section.

The Question Properties panel allows users to configure question-specific details, validations, logic, design, and actions within a survey. This ensures questions behave as intended and provide a clear experience for respondents.

Accessing Question Properties

1. Click on the inserted survey question.

2. Select a Question Type from the Questions menu.

3. The Properties tab opens automatically, displaying options for configuration.

Question-Specific Properties

Basic Properties

• Question Type: Pre-selected based on the inserted question.

• Question Text: Insert or edit the text of the question.

• Answers / Choices: Add, edit, or delete response options.

• Orientation: Choose Horizontal or Vertical from the drop-down.

Features

Validation

• Ensures that respondents cannot skip required questions.

• Apply to any question type as needed.

Steps:

1. Click Features on the left side of the Properties panel.

2. Select Validation.

3. Choose Required from the drop-down menu.

4. Enter a Validation Message.

• Required questions are marked with a validation symbol.

  

Show Comment Box

• Adds a comment field below the question for additional input.

Steps:

1. Click Features.

2. Enable Show Comment Box.

3. Configure:

   • Number of Rows: Set using the Stepper.

   • Text Limit: Maximum allowed characters.

   • Text Limit Message: Message shown if exceeded.

   • Comment Head: Heading for the comment box.

   

4. Click Submit.

• A comment box appears below the question.

  

Use Logic

• Guides respondents along a specific path in the survey based on responses.

Steps:

1. Click Features.

2. Enable Use Logic.

3. Select a Logic Type:

   • Page Jump: Moves respondents to the next page regardless of answer.

   • Question Skip: Skips to a question/page based on the selected answer.

   • Disqualification: Disqualifies respondents who fail the criteria; displays a message.

   • End of Survey: Ends survey for specific responses; shows completion message.

4. Configure Select options for the logic (e.g., Check All).

5. Click Save.

• Logic is applied to the selected question and controls respondent flow.

Question Design

Configure the appearance and layout of questions:

Font Size	X-Large, Large, Medium, Larger, Smaller, Small, X-Small
Option Font Color	Set using color menu

Radio Border	Set using color menu

Actions

Move questions between pages:

Steps:

1. Click Actions on the left side of the Properties panel.

2. Select Action and Page options.

3. Choose Move from the Action drop-down.

4. Select the target page.

5. Click Done.

• The question is moved to the selected page.
