Notifications
This section describes the notifications feature available on the platform.
The Notification feature allows users to send and receive messages from processes to people (the platform user). By default, it has Inbox and Trash folders. Notifications communicate the data store refresh and a copy of the story document.

Notification Icon Access
A bell icon is located in the top-right section of the homepage, which users can click to access the notifications drawer or panel.

Notification Panel
Upon clicking the icon, a slide-in panel appears, ̣displaying a list of the three most recent notifications.
Click the See All option.
Notification Drawer/ Page
The Notifications page/drawer opens, displaying a list of the notifications.
By default, the first notification content will be displayed in detail on the right side of the page.
Notifications include a brief message.
Each entry contains a timestamp.
Users can use the checkbox next to a notification entry to open the notification detail.
Notification Inbox
Inbox is the default folder where all the notifications get saved.
The Notifications page/drawer opens.
By default, the Notifications Inbox page opens.
The latest notification appears on the right side with the following information.
A brief message notifying the user about the completion of a task or alerting about an issue.
Each entry contains a timestamp.
Any notification can be opened in detail by scrolling on the notification entry.
Icons provided on the inbox window:

Refresh
Receives the latest messages

Delete
Moves the selected messages to the Trash folder

Mark unread
Marks messages status as ‘unread’

Mark read
Marks messages status as ‘read’
Moving a Notification message into the Trash Folder
Select notifications using the checkboxes next to them.
Click the Delete icon from the header panel of the notification inbox.
A dialog box appears to confirm whether to move the selected notification to the Trash.
Click the Yes option to move the notification(s) to Trash.
A message ensures that the selected notification(s) have been moved to the Trash folder.
Select the Trash option from the drop-down and click on it.
The notifications under the Trash folder get displayed (by default, the latest notification opens in details).
Recovering Notification(s) from Trash
Navigate to the notification list under the Trash folder.
Select the notifications using the checkboxes.
Click the Move to Inbox icon from the header panel.
A dialog box confirms the intended action of moving the selected notification to the Inbox.
Click the Yes option to move the notification(s) to recover the Notification.
A message appears to ensure that the selected notification has been recovered. The selected notification is moved back to the Inbox folder.
Mark Notifications as Read
The number of notifications displayed at the top of the Notification icon indicates the unread notification messages.
Navigate to the notification Inbox, displaying all the available notifications.
Select the unread notifications by using the checkboxes provided next to those notifications.
Click the Mark Read icon.
The Make it Read window appears.
Click the Yes option.
A notification message appears.
The status of the selected notification(s) will be updated as Read.
The number for the Notifications also gets modified for the unread notifications.
Mark Notifications as Unread
Navigate to the Inbox page.
Select the read messages by using the checkboxes provided next to them.
Click the Mark Unread icon.
The Make it Unread window appears.
Click the Yes option.
A notification message appears.
The selected notifications' status will be changed to Unread.
The number indicating the unread notifications will be modified as well.
