Integer Transform
The Integer Transform performs arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, modulus) on numeric columns to scale, calibrate, or normalize data.
The Integer Transform allows users to perform arithmetic operations on numeric columns, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and modulus. This transform is useful for scaling, calibrating, or normalizing numerical data in a dataset.
Best Situations to Use
Addition (+): Add a constant or column value to shift or calibrate numeric data.
Subtraction (-): Subtract a constant or column value for adjustment or normalization.
Multiplication (*): Scale numeric data by a factor for inflation adjustment, unit conversion, or normalization.
Division (/): Express values in relative terms or normalize data.
Modulus (%): Compute remainder for integer division, useful in cyclical calculations or bucketing.
Not Recommended for:
Non-numeric columns.
Complex mathematical operations requiring multiple steps or functions (use Expression Editor instead).
Steps to Perform Integer Transform
Navigate to the Data Preparation workspace.
Select a numeric or integer column.
Open Transforms > Functions > Integer Transform.
Select the arithmetic operation: Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide, or Modulus.
Configure the dialog box:
Enable Create New Column (optional).
Provide a New Column Name.
Operator: Choose one of

.Use With: Select Value or Other Column.
Operand/Column: Provide a constant value or select another column for the operation.
Click Submit.
Examples:
Add a constant offset to calibrate sensor measurements.
Multiply values to adjust for inflation or currency conversions.
Use modulus for cyclical bucketing.
