View Measure Summary

Configure and display a summary value for a selected measure directly on the Design canvas for the current View.

Display a Measure Summary

  1. Create or open a View

    • On the Design page, drag and drop the required Dimensions and Measures to build a View.

  2. Open Header Configuration

    • Click the Header Configuration () icon.

  3. Enable Summary

    • In the Header Configuration dialog, go to the Summary section.

    • Toggle Enable Summary (Enable).

  4. Configure Summary options

    • Set the following fields:

      • Measure: Choose the measure you want summarized (drop-down).

      • Aggregation: Select how to summarize (e.g., Sum, Avg, Min, Max, Count).

      • Format Type: Choose the display format (e.g., Number, Percentage, Currency).

      • Currency Type (if applicable): Pick a currency symbol for currency formats.

      • Precision: Select the number of decimal places to display.

  5. Apply

    • Click Apply.

Enable

Turns the summary bar/value on for the View.

Measure

The numeric field to summarize.

e.g., Sales, Revenue, Quantity.

Aggregation

The rollup applied to the selected measure.

Sum, Average, Min, Max, Count.

Format Type

Output formatting for the summary value.

Number, Percentage, Currency.

Currency Type

Currency symbol when Format Type = Currency.

$, ₹, €, £, etc.

Precision

Number of decimal places shown.

e.g., 0, 1, 2, 3…

Notes & Tips:

  • If the Format Type is Percentage, ensure your measure is already scaled appropriately or apply a calculation so the display is meaningful.

  • Use Precision to balance readability with accuracy; 0–2 decimals is typical for KPI summaries.

  • The summary reflects current filters and field selections in the View.

  • You can reopen Header Configuration → Summary at any time to adjust or disable the summary.
