Funnel Chart
A Funnel Chart visualizes progressive reduction of data across sequential stages in a process. Its shape starts wide at the top and narrows toward the bottom, making it easy to identify where the highest drop-offs occur.
Each stage represents a percentage of the total, allowing users to track conversion rates, success ratios, or completion levels at each step.
This chart is commonly used to monitor workflows, sales pipelines, recruitment funnels, and campaign effectiveness.
Best Situations to Use
Use a funnel chart when:
You want to track conversion or drop-off rates across multiple stages of a process.
Identifying bottlenecks in workflows is critical.
The process involves a step-by-step flow, such as sales, marketing, or recruitment.
Examples:
Measuring the success of a promotional campaign by tracking leads through to conversions.
Analyzing the recruitment process, from applicants to hires.
Visualizing sales pipeline stages such as Prospect → Qualified Lead → Opportunity → Closed.
