Survey Builder: Designing a Survey

This section explains steps to access the Survey Builder page.

The Survey Builder allows users to create and configure surveys by adding questions, arranging pages, and setting properties. This section explains how to design a survey efficiently using the Survey Builder interface.

Accessing the Survey Builder

There are two ways to start designing a survey:

Method 1: During Survey Creation

  • After creating a new survey, the user is redirected to the Survey Builder page to begin designing immediately.

Method 2: From the Survey List

  • Navigate to the Survey List page.

  • Click the Design icon for the desired survey.

The Survey Builder header bar provides the following key options to design your survey:

  1. Questions

  2. Page

  3. Survey

  4. Properties

  5. Theme

Note:

  • The Questions tab is displayed by default.

  • Click the BDB logo on the left side to navigate back to the Survey Landing Page.

  • A Save option is provided to save the Survey.

  • A filter panel in the header lets you customize the page-by-page display of the survey.

Best Practices

  • Plan survey structure before adding questions to ensure logical flow.

  • Use pages to group related questions for better readability.

  • Save frequently using the Save option to prevent data loss.

  • Configure properties for each page and question to control behavior and appearance.
