Notes & Cautions:

  • Schema changes (columns, data types, sheet names) may break existing Preparations, Data Stores, or Data Sheets that rely on the old structure. Review and update them as needed.

  • For multi-sheet Excel files, sheet selection may be prompted later during Prep/Store/Sheet creation.

  • Keep the browser tab open until the reupload confirmation appears.

Supported file types (typical)

.csv, .xls, .xlsx, .xlsm, .txt, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .mp4, .json, .pdf, .avro, .parquet

Best Practices

  • Use consistent column names to avoid downstream rework.

  • After reupload, preview the Sandbox to quickly verify structure and row counts.

  • If the file is an update of the same dataset, prefer consistent file naming/versioning in your source control.

Troubleshooting

  • Reupload icon disabled: You may lack permissions, or the Sandbox is locked by policy—contact an administrator.

  • Corrupted/unsafe file warning: Clean or re-export the source file and try again; or upload a different file.

  • No visible change after reupload: Refresh the Data Sandbox list and re-open Preview; confirm you selected the correct Sandbox.

  • Downstream errors (Prep/Store/Sheet): Revisit those assets to align with the new schema or data values.
