Documents
This section outlines the main document categories, organized by their accessibility to platform users.
The Home screen serves as the central hub for accessing all folders and files that have been created by the logged-in user, as well as those shared with them. It provides a consolidated view of key resources, including exported dashboards, forms, data sheets, and data agents, ensuring quick and organized access to essential content.
Documents available to a platform user on the homepage can fall under the following categories, based on how they were made accessible to the user:
Documents Owned by Me – The Documents Owned By Me tab displays documents created by the user across all permitted document types and modules. It is the default view shown when accessing the platform homepage.
Recent – The recently created, accessed, or modified documents will be listed as Recent Files for the platform user.
Favorites – Documents marked as favorites by the user will be listed under the Favorites section.
Shared – The documents shared by other users with you can be part of the Shared list of documents.
The users receive a view-only copy of the documents shared using the Share With option.
The documents shared via the Copy To option contain all the edit permissions for the users.
E.g., A report titled Google Sheet Report has been shared using both the Share with and Copy to options, demonstrating the difference in permissions between the two."
Public – The Public Documents section displays all documents that are publicly available to the platform user. Users can also create new documents in this space, which will be accessible by default to all other users within the same workspace.
Users, including Admins, are restricted from deleting any public document they do not own.
