Deleting a Data Sandbox
Remove an existing Data Sandbox file from the Data Center.
Prerequisites:
Access permission of the Data Center module and the Data Sandbox option.
Permission to remove Sandbox entries.
(Recommended) Verify that no one still needs this file (e.g., it’s not the current source for ongoing Data Preparation or a reference for documentation).
Steps
Open the list Navigate to Data Center > My Connectors > Data Sandbox > Data Sandbox List.
Select the Sandbox Locate the Sandbox entry you want to delete.
Remove Click the Delete option for that Sandbox. The Remove Data Sandbox confirmation dialog opens.
Confirm Click Yes.
Notes & Cautions:
Downstream assets:
Existing Data Preparations, Data Stores, or Data Sheets previously created from this file are not deleted, but they will not receive updates from this file anymore.
If you intend to replace the file rather than retire it, use Reupload instead of Delete.
Audit trail: If your organization requires traceability, capture the Sandbox name and purpose before deletion.
Outcome
The selected Sandbox file is permanently removed from the list and is no longer available for Preview, Data Preparation, Create Data Store, or Create Datasheet actions.
Troubleshooting
Remove icon disabled: You may lack permissions, or the Sandbox is locked by policy—contact an administrator.
Entry still visible after deletion: Refresh the list; confirm you deleted the correct Sandbox.
Accidental deletion: Recreate the Sandbox and Re-upload the file; re-check any dependent processes.
