Delete Pipeline

This section outlines the steps to remove the selected pipeline.

The Delete Pipeline feature allows platform users to remove an inactive pipeline from the system. This is especially useful for:

• Managing clutter from old test or experimental pipelines.

• Ensuring compliance with governance or retention policies.

• Cleaning up resource allocations (CPU/Memory) reserved for unused pipelines.

Steps to delete a pipeline

• Navigate to the Pipelines list page.

• Select a pipeline from the displayed list. The image displays only one pipeline available in the pipelines list.

• Click the Delete Pipeline icon from the right side panel.

• The Confirm dialog box appears for the users to verify.

• Click the Yes option.

  
• A notification message appears, and the selected pipeline will be removed from the pipelines list.

Please note:

• If the deleted pipeline was the sole entry in the list, a notification will appear explaining that the pipeline list page is now empty.

• All deleted pipelines will be moved to the Trash page. Refer to the Trash page for more details.

Key Reminders When Deleting a Pipeline

• Pipelines must be deactivated before deletion. Active pipelines cannot be deleted.

• Once permanently deleted, pipeline configurations, logs, and history are permanently lost, unless version control or backups are enabled.

• Deletion rights are limited to users with Admin roles, entitled users, or Owners.

Best Practices

• Label your pipelines clearly to avoid accidental deletions.

• Export or document pipeline configurations before deleting.

• Use role-based access control (RBAC) to limit deletion privileges.

• Audit pipeline deletions using system logs or audit trails.
