Filter Saver

The Filter Saver component enables users to save filter conditions for reuse. This functionality helps users quickly apply previously defined filter criteria without reselecting options each time, improving workflow efficiency in dashboards with multiple filters.

Filter Saver is especially valuable when users frequently perform recurring analyses based on the same conditions (e.g., “Current Year Sales,” “Top 10 Customers,” “Q1 Revenue Range”).

Best Situations to Use

Use Filter Saver when you want to:

  • Save commonly used filter conditions for quick access.

  • Allow users to reuse criteria without reselecting filter values.

  • Improve workflow efficiency for recurring analyses.

  • Provide a personalized filter library for each user session.

Not Recommended for:

  • Dashboards where filter conditions are rarely reused.

  • Highly dynamic datasets where saved criteria would quickly become outdated.

    • In the Add Criteria tab, give it a name (e.g., Second Year).

    • Save it.

  8. Return to the Criteria List to confirm both criteria are listed.

  9. Reuse saved criteria anytime by selecting from the Criteria List.

Notes

  • Saved criteria are immediately available for reuse in the same dashboard session.

  • Naming criteria meaningfully (e.g., “Q1 Sales 2025”) improves usability.

  • Use Filter Saver with multi-filter dashboards to save full conditions across several filters simultaneously.
