Create User Group
Instructions for creating a new user group are provided in this section."
Click the New option given on the Security page.
Select the Group option from the context menu.
The New Group window opens, asking for information about a new group.
Provide the following information to create a new User Group:
Group Name: Provide a name for the user group (limit: 20 words maximum). Description: Optionally, add a description for the user group (limit: 150 words maximum).
Add User(s) to Group
Click the Assign option to add the existing users to the newly created group.
The Add Users to Group window opens with a list of all the existing users in that space.
Select User(s) by using a checkmark in the box from the displayed list of users.
To select all users, check the Select all checkbox.
Alternatively, you can manually select users by checking the boxes next to each user. The image below displays manual selection of the users.
App Permissions
The App Permissions section enables the creator of the user group to assign selected apps to its members based on their needs.
Click the Assign option to add various app permissions to the newly created group.
The App Permissions window opens, displaying a list of available apps for selection.
Use Select all to grant all app permissions to the user group, or
Manually assign specific plugin/app permissions by selecting individual options from the App Permissions menu. Manual selection is displayed in the image below.
Folder Permissions
The Folder Permissions option allows the user group creator to assign specific folders to group members according to their requirements.
Click the Assign option provided next to the Folder Permission option.
The Folder Permissions window opens with the list of Folder Permissions to be selected for the group.
Use Select all to grant all Folder Permissions to the user group, or
In this case, the Select All option has been used to select all the Folder Permissions.
Manually assign specific Folder permissions by selecting individual options from the App Permissions menu.
File Permissions
The File Permissions option enables the user group creator to grant access to specific files for group members based on their needs.
Click the Assign option provided for the File Permissions.
The File Permissions window opens with a list of the File Permissions to be selected for the group. In this case, the Select All option is used to select all the file permissions.
After adding users and allowing the required Permissions to the new group, click the Create option for the new User Group.
A confirmation message appears.
The newly created group will be listed under the All Groups list (as shown below).
